This module on Initiative & Enterprise Management Training is part of the GroomTalent.com curriculum of critical management courses for developing leadership competencies and management talent.
Initiative Competencies- the ability to:
- do more than is required or expected in a job
- identify and act upon new opportunities to enhance results
- minimize problems without needing to be asked and persisting in problem solving and seizing opportunities
Enterprise Competencies- the ability to:
- use fresh approaches leading to radical change or significant improvements; and take time to listen to new ideas without pre-judgement
- try new, and possibly better, in the sense of stretching beyond what has been done in the past
- weigh the possible outcomes against values and responsibilities
- summon resources and team to implement enterprise action plan
